Default brake pad question

Looking for some advise on brake pads. I have a 2007 base coupe, 3lt and Z51. I am not a hard driver and the car will never see a track. Usually used on weekend drives in the mountains or on Pacific Coast Highway. Should I replace with stock pads or do any of you have an opinion on what aftermarket pads I should install?
Thank you,
Tony

If the stock pads worked well for you I would stay with them. Why bring on unwanted problems.

The OEM should be fine for your type of driving unless you had issues and wanted a change.

Tony, take a look at the Carbotech 1521 pad. This pad is a low dust performance street pad that will deliver the performance you want from your brakes but, with out the dust and noise. A pad description is below along with pricing, if interested I will be happy to help you.

For a little less bite but low dust go with the GM Ceramic.

Love my Ac Delco Ceramic pads. Very reasonably priced, super quiet and so easy to install. I did mine this weekend. Each wheel can be done in 30 minutes. That is roughing up each rotor, cleaning each caliper, and replacing the pads. The pads pop right into place. A monkey could do it. I also didn't notice any difference in braking power. Can't comment on dust or lack of it but there should be minimal dust. Brake dust was the primary reason I changed out the stock pads.

On my '08 Base coupe 3LT, I went with GM Ceramics from my dealer. I was very happy with them. Hardly any dusting, good pedal feel.

On my 2010 GS Coupe 3LT, I ordered Hawk Ceramics from Patrick at GM Parts House. Not sold on the Hawks. They only reduced the brake dust by half, and questionable pedal feel, especially in wet conditions.

Some on here have good reports about the pads sold at AutoZone. Much cheaper, and they favor them. My two cents...

I just went with some cheap ceramics off ebay. very low break dust, less wear on rotors, still will make the seat belt choke you from the stopping power. I'm happy with mine
