I haven't tried to use it either. I just finished installing a 75h/p Zex nitrous shot into the mix. It's triggered on full throttle. Guess it wouldn't be prudent to hit the nitrous off the line. Maybe hit the arm switch after I get the car rolling? Maybe 2nd gear? Thoughts?
I'd probably not hit it off the line because even though the pedal is at wide open throttle, the engine certainly isn't and you'll be incredibly lean. I'd hit it probably once the car stopped spinning (because even then the ECU is modulating throttle, it's not really at full throttle). Therefore, shift second, then hit it. That's my recommendation.

Definitely don't pop it off the line. As pointed out, the computer is rolling through its launch algorithm which modulates throttle electronically. I probably wouldn't hit it in second either since, frankly, you'll be through second pretty quick too. I'd pop it in third, when you finally start getting into the slower side of the pull. Plus that leaves you with three more gears to work through which can give you more oomph in the top end when you reach the sixth gear. From what I've seen, if a 'vette's being beat off the line it pulls out in the last 3 gears where our top end is usually sufficient to outdrive the competitor (not always, but more often than not I see vettes come back with a fury on the top end against cars that torque spec for low rpm pull offs).
I would personally save my shot for mid pull.. If I'm clearly ahead of my opponent then I don't have to use it at all; if I'm ahead by a small amount and it looks like they're catching up (usually happens second to third), pop it and enjoy the pull ahead; if they're way ahead, I just assume they're torque specced for the low end to give them an off the line benefit and if the length of the run permits, I'd pop in third to give me a boost towards top end to overtake.
