Front Plate
I purchased a 2009 Vette (4,800 miles) from Carolina that did not have a front plate. Texas REQUIRES a front one but I see MANY photos of Vetts without one. I have the bracket but FLAT don't like the looks. Suggestions of (exactly) where to place the front plate? Jer in Baytown Texas

There are numerous threads on the subject, and you can probably find several by searching. It's sort of a touch subject with most Vette owners.
You'll see lots of ideas of how to mount the front plate, and there are frames that don't look all that bad. Thankfully, it's not required in my state.

The Top Flight Reproductions C6 front license plate bracket is the best looking mount available. It follows the contour of the front bumper. Installs easily without lifting the car. Requires no drilling for attachment like some others do. Our bracket is priced considerably lower than other after market solutions and is made in the USA .

+1 for the Top Flight bracket.
Add a body-color plate frame and it blends in even better.
I have one but don't usually put the plate on (very easy on/off by the way) unless I'm driving in a part of the state where the Troopers are bored/looking for any violation they can spot.

no front plate here in pa. i see the n.j. and n.y. cars and i cringe when i see that ugly plate in the front. really takes away the front end style of the car, big time.

I got this one in black anodized. I put it in the down position for my vert and in the up position for my Z06. Got tired of getting pulled over. Here in MD it is a pay-fine, not a fix-it ticket, and the state troopers are death on no front plate.

If you must go with a front plate the bracket from Top Flight is the best looking one.

Top Flight front bracket. It's not worth the hassle of being pulled over--I was pulled over twice by young Hwy Patrol officer but just warned since I was a retired Marine

Next time you are in Houston, north on I-45, stop by Corvettes of Houston. They have a bunch of different mounts, both on cars and off, to give you some options on what you think looks best.

I have the top flight removable mount and color matching frame. I don't like it but tired of the hassles. I was at Corvettes of Houston (now Corvette World-Houston) last week and they do have a few mounts there to look at.

Front plate - ticket or no ticket...
Same thing here in Virginia. I too thought about not putting a front plate on mine but then thought better - can you imagine... a black man, driving a Corvette in a southern state and a damn good reason to stop him (no front plate). I decided to use the plate ALWAYS and unfortunately, I still get stopped for bogus checks like just double checking the window tint to see if meets state specs.... At least they can't give me a ticket for that one....
