I just purchased my first "New" corvette. A 2013 427 Convertible. I want to put a clear bra on it and would like a recommendation regarding what film to use. I have an installer in mind and he uses Venture shield, Suntek, Premium Shield and Expel. Has anyone had good or bad experiences with these and what would you recommend?
I want one as well.... Are you going to put anything on your hood, fenders, and mirrors?? I can't swing the whole hood and fenders but I do not like seeing where the film ends with the partial hood and fenders. Don't know what to do
I have decided that I am going with the front bumber or nose and the full hood. I don't like the seam across the hood either and with the raised hood on the 427 I am afraid to not protect it at all as it looks like it would be a magnet for rocks.

I've been mulling over this idea for awhile. I believe there are three good choices. No Bra - several of my friends use a good "wax" treatment (EXPEL) and touch up nicks as they occur; Cleartastic - I suggest visiting an installer and seeing an installed treatment; Speed Lingerie Bra - I've seen several of these and had one on my 96 CE for 5 years, and believe I will go this route for my 2012 GS on out-of-town trips. I will apply EXPEL under the Bra periodically.

Sorry - I said EXPEL when I meant REJEX.
I've looked at these choices so long that these names merge.

Great choice! There are two stickies for 427 owners, with lots of discussion about various protection choices. I went with Expel on front bumper, rockers, and rear brake ducts, only one chip so far.

Under the 'sticky' section above there are two 427 threads you should check out. Recently one one of them there were a few responses about the coverings. I know red4twenty7 on one of these threads just had the Xpel put on a week or so ago. Last summer I had the 3M plastic put on (I didn't know about Xpel at that time). I had the front skirt and bumper covered; the lower part of the hood----I would do the entire hood if I had to do over; the headlights; the back of the mirrors; the side skirts; the lower panel below the doors; and around the front and rear vents on both sides.
I also HIGHLY recommend having the proper Apsis splash guards installed. These cars just throw the road debris back along the bottom of the car and especially around the rear side vents.
