The last time I replaced my cabin filter, I had a hard time inserting (squeezing) it into the slot. It was from NAPA and the correct one, just hard getting it in. Can anyone suggest a good filter that will be a lot easier to get in?

I used an OEM filter last time and it was also hard to get in that little cubby. Maybe a tight fit is what they're after with that thing.
A video by one of the brands showed that the filter should be pinched in the middle (back to front), inserted part way in the slot, released then pushed the rest of the way in.
Just replaced mine Sunday with the FRAM charcoal impregnated one. Had to youTube it. There is a curve in the place it fits. only took a few minutes. Hardest part was determining the air flow direction as the one I removed had no arrow on it and this was first time I had changed it.
I have changed mine twice. It was two pain in the butts both times. Some have drunk engineer had to design that system. A normal person could not possibly come up with that illogical method/system/way to insert.

Same guy who designed the mirror cover flaps on the sun visors.
I used the FRAM filter ..... don't have the p/n at hand but whatever is on their listing. Trick as others have noted seems to be pinching together at the center & then sliding it thru the slot.

Near impossible to navigate around the dry sump oil lines in my GS without totally mutilating the filter.
