need some help here...

So after about two weeks of not driving the vette, I go to work today and on the way home, I put it in sport mode....and...it won't down shift. It will upshift....but not downshift. I recently had a bout with a dead battery and have since charged it and have had no problems. I can't remember when the last time I used it in the sport mode, but I know everything worked fine. Any help?

So in the sports mode you can up shift with the little buttons on the wheel, but the paddles behind the wheel are not manually downshifting correct. It will downshift automatically as you slow down but only to 2nd. So is yours doing that? Did you try both paddles?

Can you give us a little more info? You put it in sport mode, are you using the paddles or are you letting the trans do the shifting?

I can upshift with the paddles in sport mode, but i can not downshift with either one. The car will automatically downshift in sport mode as i slow down. It will go into 2nd gear when i stop but can not downshift to 1st.

Sounds electrical. Check all wires from transmission and paddle wires.

Do you get an X over the gear indicator on the HUD? When you try to downshift?
I know I see that when I try to downshift to a lower gear and I'm going to fast.
