but I do use my $50 Toro blower first. Cold air seems to work fine for me.
Master Blaster,is the higher cost of it because it blows hot air?[/QUOTE]
Maybe they should re name it the "Politician". Lots of hot air and wind.
Really it does work very well, I am amazed at the amount of water there is trapped in areas that always seem to drip once you are headed down the road. I live a half mile down a dirt/gravel road and those drips attract lots of dust spoiling an otherwise nice car wash.
I originally used a leaf blower and found it to be rewarding, then I treated myself to the Master Blaster and would never go back. There is a clear and notable difference in its use and outcome. Sure they are a little expensive, but look at the build quality. I use mine weekly without issue and only once had to replace the cord, the owner personally mailed me a new one gratis !
Its amazing to let clients use them at Detailfest annually. They move like hotcakes and one year they had a demo table and they sold as well as some buffers. You will find additional things to use it for also. I clean out my home's A/C unit annually and blow all the water and crud out the drain line.
Autogeek keeps them in stock and offers a price guarantee too. If you need one, look under Metro.
I like the hose option, I think Metro makes a Pet Dryer, same specs as the smaller version but with the hose. You can buy them in Bed Bath and Beyond, you have to order and with a 20% off coupon they run about $80. Just not sure if the smaller version has enough oomph to completely dry the car. Will certainly work fine on the bike though.
I had one and sold it, I couldn't use the hot air due to causing water spots with the hard water in my area. I now have a water softener to fix that issue, and now also a cheap leaf blower. I find the leaf blower is more convenient due to no hose.

The Master Blaster DOES blow harder. I just have a BIG issue with the hot air part. Hot air evaporating water and creating water spots is the last thing I want from a dryer. Sure hot air is faster but parking in the sun is easier and has the same effect when it comes to evaporating the final tiny droplets after you blow 99.9% off with an inexpensive leaf blower. But lots of people who have purchased the Master Blaster praise its hot air capability and I just don't get it.
While in Pigeon Forge at a tool outlet store, I found a small blower which is meant to dry cars. It is similar in size to the small Metro Vac unit but at a price of $20. So I bought one. It seems to work even better than my shop vac blower I had been using
Mine is like this one but red in color
I suspect you can find these at any outlet tool store
BTW, I never use a cloth for drying. This does it all.
