I installed the Z-RAL splitter on my G/S a couple of months ago, I also have a sloped drive. Have not driven much since installation but have pulled in and out of the drive a few times just to check it out. I still pull in or out at a pretty good angle and so far have not scraped. no doubt it does increases clearance in the center. I think on RPI'S web site states the corners are about 1/8'' lower than the G/S stock splitter. Any way I love the looks, Defiantly a great addition to my G/S and the color match is perfect.

I just received the ZRAL splitter from RPI. I tried installing it today and I think that I might have a problem. I removed the outside air dams on both sides and dry fit the splitter. It does not cleanly lay in place. There are three tape areas, one in the middle and on each end where it wraps around the corners of the bumper. With the two outside ends and the middle section of the splitter touching the bottom of the bumper cover, there is about an inch of space on the inside tape attaching points where the two cutouts are located.

Did you guys have this same issue? Did you just press the splitter hard enough up against the bumper cover to close the space up and then install it with the tape and screws?

The issue to me is that it does not just cleanly lay into place so that you can use the tape and screws to secure it easily. I'm wondering if I have a problem with the bumper cover. I noticed that the two fangs are pretty well scraped. Could this be bent up? If it is, can it be bent back into its proper position or does this part need replacing? I don't even know if bent fangs would cause bumper cover to not fit correctly.

I'm doing this by myself so I can't provide any pictures.

Are you sure you have the correct splitter? It looks like you have a base coupe but sounds like you have the splitter for the wide body.

I don't know how you would tell the difference unless you have one of each for comparison. The pictures on the RPI site for either the base coupe splitter or the Z06 splitter do not look like the splitter that I have. The basic design is the same but my splitter has a dog ear on the inside curvature at each end for a mounting screw.

I just got a reply from Josh at RPI. He said that I needed to start at ends, aligning them with the wheel wells and work towards the center. I'll for sure get someone to assist me this next time I try to install it. It will be a couple of weeks as I am going on a trip.

Like another member posted a few posts back I have the C7 Carbon ZR1 Carbon Fiber Splitter and was surprised to find that unlike my stock Z06 Splitter it does not drag exiting my garage. The Stock one drug every time, the ZR1 style has not touched my driveway yet!
