Thank you all. First round of Chemo done and finally back in her own home after a week in the hospital.
Rich.....I lost my mom 2 years ago due to cancer. Your mom, you, and your family are in my prayers. Keep strong for your mom and appreciate every minute you have with her. Glad to see that she is able to handle Chemo as my mom was too frail. Also glad to hear Ruth is back home as this too was very important to my mom after being hospitalized. Unfortunately she died after a brief stay in Hospice. I will pray for Ruth to have a full recovery.
To all who are lucky enough to still have their moms and dads in your lives......always find the time to tell them how much they are loved and how much they are appreciated. It's never too late no matter the circumstances.
Lost my Mom to ovarian 5 years ago. Wont sugar coat it for you as i wouldnt want that myself. Ovarian is a tough one, its not a death sentence but its going to be a rough battle. My thoughts are with your Mom, you and the family.

Thanks for the kind words and so sorry to hear about your Mom. We just got back after spending the weekend with her. She's in Queens (NY) and we are down near Atlantic City. She'll have help during the week and we'll see her on weekends for now. Next Saturday is her 80th Birthday and we have a big party planned. Chemo is scheduled for Thursday. Hopefully she'll be in good spirits. Thanks again

Thank you and sorry to hear about your Mom. You're right, it's a tuff one.
She's a fighter and said to say thank you to all you guys/gals for the prayers.
This morning I let her read some of the posts and it put a big smile on her face. I tried not to let her see the ones that had bad endings.
Our Sunday sermon was about all the burdens of life and to take time out for prayer. This was part of the readings and I thought of you and your Mom.
Matthew 11:28-30
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
