Default Dash Care

What's a good product to use on the dash that will not leave a shiny reflective surface?

Aerospace 303, nice natural looking finish, plus UV protection.

It says to wipe with damp cloth and let air dry. Trouble is, if your water is high in alkalinity, you get white build up.

Wipe it down good with distilled water and dry. Use a dark cloth/rag if you have one.

Then apply Aero 303...you're done and your inside looks the way it should have looked when it came form the factory!

I've been very pleased with the results from using Turtle Wax "Ice Premium Care" Interior Cleaner and Protectant. Does an excellent job removing the white/gray buildup that develops over time. Just spray on a microfiber towel and wipe any surface. No shine left behind.

Armorall/Mothers/Maguiars, etc all make a "natural finish" detailer. I even use it on my tires cuz I'm not a fan of the glossy look.

I also cover with a dash mat during summer in AZ where uv is so destructive.

I use the mini California Duster. Removes all dust and finger smudges.

Griot's Garage Interior Cleaner followed by their Vinyl & Rubber Dressing. It sells at Advance Auto. It's not a dull finish but far from glossy. Just right IMO

I have gotten my 303 from Autogeek. I live in a small town and even the autoparts stores have limited selections. 303 is also useful on black rubber outside trim, seals, etc. I have used Mother's VLR and it is okay but see this forum for precautionary measures in its use. I think Meguair's is better than VLR. I don't always use 303 on the inside but that is because I have to mail order it.

I clean the dash first with very light/mild soap on a cloth, apply 303 (a very little goes a long way), and then let it dry. Then, I take a damp rag and wipe over it - that removes a little bit more of the dull but still slightly shiny surface. Works for me. Can be gotten at most RV places, and marine shops like West.
