Default A question ref new TPMS

I'm in the process of ridding myself of the original run flats. My C6 is an '07, and my question is would it be a good idea to replace the TMPS while I'm at it. Or, is there a way to check the battery strength of the old ones? I have never had to deal with these new fangled do-dads before. Thanks in advance for your help.

FYI, I tried the search to no avail.

I was in the same boat last year and opted not to change them. I believe the majority said not to bother until they started acting up. When they do just change all four at that time.

Smokin, that is a thought that ran through my feeble mind. Thanks for the confirmation.

I replaced all four on my 07 because one of my old one kept stating the left rear tire flat when it wasn't and the DIC said reduce handling, max speed 55. Replaced them with VDO's and the programming was very easy with tpms tool from tire rack for 19.99

Last year, one of mine on an '06 started reporting a flat tire. That was all the motivation I needed to replace them all and the original GY Run Craps too with only 14,000 miles on them. What an improvement!

Oh yea, these Goodyear's have got to go. At 17K I can't hear myself think at times. The roar is horrible.

I think I'll let the TPMS tell me when they need replacing.
