Well I sold mine also. Left it parked outside the first hot day after I bought it.....mistake!!!! It was hotter than an oven. Don't miss it a bit. Had my solid top and halo painted black....love the look and I keep cool.

Glass is best. Bought both and only install the painted for track days, not that it would matter.

Problem for me is, my painted top has that awful creak and pop that the early tops did. As mine was a yet unsold 2012 that I bought in late '13, I have often wondered if the dealer didn't do a switch of the '12 white top from my car for an earlier top for another customer. There are no matching serial numbers so it would be hard to verify.

Loved the looks of the blue acrylic. But it fried my brains in the sun. Using a liner defeated the purpose and didn't look all that great from the inside. So, with our '13 GS I saved a few bucks and chose not to order the dual roof package.

my vette is black so they look about the same to me from the outside, I like the transparent top when I'm on the inside because it opens up the car alot and makes it feel alot bigger than it actually is in there.

After I got it all cleaned up, I promptly forgot all about it until the next morning as I was picking up speed going down the road when I heard a rattle above my head and looked up just in time to see it start to separate slightly from the top of the windshield. I was just able to reach up and pull it back down before I became a member of the FRC myself.
That was really close.

Older folks (70+) will like the Lexan roof cause its lighter than the painted one making it easier to take on and off without assistance.
By the way does anyone know if the Lexan top is date stamped much like the old Vert vinyl back window was?
