Don't waste your money on stainless. It scratches too easily despite what everyone says. You can keep it waxed, but every little thing will put minute scratches on the surface. Pay more, get good quality chrome from someplace like Creative Engine Covers.

Thanks, I actually just put on a new one this past weekend. The one in the video is a chromed plastic plenum cover. Problem is the chroming process they used to make this particular cover sucks because the engine heat dulls it after a short while. I went to the extreme with the new one, I purchased an unfinished/unpainted/unchromed plenum cover and sent it to the show chroming facility that I use. It is now perfect.

Is the new one plastic too? If not, can you send me a link to where you got a metal one? I have a buddy with a chroming business, but haven't been able to find a metal one that will fit my 427. Thanks.

The new used to be plastic but after the chroming process, being dipped in copper, nickel, and something else I forget it is now metal. A magnet will stick to it. Between buying the product and having it chromed properly it cost me $685.00. I guess if you wanna play you gotta pay.

I have been detailing my recent purchase (2011 G.S. Supersonic blue) over the last 4 days or so and its coming out nice, will post up some pics soon.
On another forum I frequent (Toyota Nation) they have a feature where you can say "Thanks" or "I like that" seems it would be a nice addition to this forum. You just click the icon and that's it, just an idea

This is perfect for a white car. It is understated and yet stands out thumbs: It gives me some ideas. Where did you get the painted covers? Thanks.

Thank you! The FRC's were painted by Steve Ray of Airbrush Inc. The other pieces are hydro dipped from RPI.

Not much yet, and not really sure where to go with this one. Happy enough with the fuel rail covers, but not sure to go chrome or carbon fiber with the rest of the engine.............or painted.
