C6 fob
I have a 2006 C6 and I wanted to get the FOB for my car that started coming with the 08's and up. I wanted to know if anyone with an 05 or 06 got it working with their C6. Ive read that the FOB will work with 05-07 but the key itself will not work on the 05-06 unless you change the locks. I read this on the link below if you want to view it. Anyone with a 05-06 have this on theirs? Thanks.

You've got it right.
The fobs can be programmed to any year C6, but I'm told that the key is different.
We had a 2006 with the old fob, then got a 2009 with the new fob.
The new fob is:
Bigger
Heavier
Easier to crack when changing batteries
Much easier to get activated by misc stuff in your pocket
Makes it easy to lock the key in the car if you accidentally leave the fob inside
Count yourself lucky to have the old one, I almost bought old fobs to get them programmed to our 2009 but got lazy and cheap.
