Its just funny to me because i hear people saying avoid the 06's and go to an 07. I tend to stay away from the 05 for a lot of reasons.. The steering wheel i think is ugly for the style. 2. I don't like antenna bubble on the top and 3. I don't like how the reverse is on the manuel C6 for that year.
I know there was a big difference between in 08+. But what is exactly the difference between an 06 to 07 model? I ask because I'm buying an 06 soon.
There's not a thing wrong with my 06 vert and it's got 70+ on it. It's been a great car. Only bad aspect is no different than any other Vette, that being the heat from the driveline tunnel from the dash to the taillights.

Do you mean having to park it in reverse to prevent the battery drain? I think there is a flash to fix that. I also believe it is recommended to park in reverse because of the gear ratio.
I don't think there is anything wrong with the 06 from what I've read. I got scared off of the 05's which I was originally looking at due to reading on here. There are tons of members on here that have 05's and had no issues. I had a friend with one and he never had an issue either so I wouldn't rule it out if the right deal comes along.
Honestly I think people make a bigger deal out of certain things on here than need to be. You'll get tons of people telling you to only get the 08+ models due to the LS3. No doubt the LS3 is a great motor and the 08+ models had some other improvements but I really don't think there is any reason to stay away from a good LS2 car if the right deal comes along.
At the time I probably would have ended up with an LS3 car had they offered LMB in 08+. I didn't want to settle on the color I wanted because 90% of the time I'm not using my car to where I'm going to notice the difference of the LS2 and LS3 motor. 100% of the time I do have to look at my vette and I figured it should be exactly what I wanted in that aspect.
