Shifter Adjustment
I have a 2006 and the problem I am having is when I go to put in park then hit the stop button it goes to Acc. and the info. center reads put car in park if I play with the shifter back and forward then it will go to off. Is there some kind of Adj?

I've had the shifter apart a few years ago. I believe there is a switch that has to be made for it to see it in Park.
The rod going to the switch could be bent a bit, or mis-aligned.
You probably have to take the top part of the shifter apart to see what is going on.
A dealer will try to sell you a new shifter unit at a big $$

Cost from GMPartsHouse for the A6 shifter assembly was $178, last month. (hope Gene gets a new store soon)
DIY swap takes 2 hours or so, much less if you've had the the center console/radio bezel out before.
I broke mine, would only go into neutral and drive. I didn't take it apart but it looks like that wouldn't be too difficult either.
