Default Dash light replacement question

I just noticed that the up arrow and down arrow buttons on the left side of the dash that controls the HUD and the "Options" and "Reset" buttons on the right that control the DIC are not illuminated. Has anyone had to replace these bulbs and how difficult is it? My shop manual describes how to remove the trim but does not address the bulbs. Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately the individual bulbs are not designed for replacement.

However, you can use LED's if you're handy with a soldering iron.

The conventional approach is to wait until several bulbs are out and then replace the entire switch cluster. Part costs around $30.

You can buy the bulbs on ebay but you need to solder them in.

I have actually done this for a number of people including my own car. It is really simple to do but there are a few tricks that you need to know, especially if you plan on changing the color of the lights the way most people want if it comes to soldering anyway. I've done red, blue, and white lights. I am at work at the moment but if you want I can send you pictures and instructions later when I get home.
