Default DashTronix ??

Hey guys I done a little digging and came across the dashtronix. I was talking with someone else and thought it would be awesome to utilize the HUD for boost gauge AFR, etc...and alas found the DashTronix which I'm sure you guys are familiar with. My question is this...it seems like it's only to be used with a radar, or am I reading it wrong? Are you still able to use it to display gauges ? I am very interested in an option like this.

This does all of the sensors, it is Dashlogic: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-discount.html, which is Palmer.

Dashtronix is this: http://sunsetorangecreations.com/DashTronix.php

That's dashlogic... I'm talking about dashtronix. I've seen older posts and video of it being able to display data like AFR, boost/vac on the heads up display but now all I see is it being used for a radar detector. Is that some kind of mod or was it abandoned?

I apologize guys I see that dashlogic does display on the HUD... How accurate are the boost readings?

It reads the MAP sensor for vac/boost. As long as the sensor is functioning properly, the reading should be 100% accurate.

You also need either a ZR1 MAP sensor or an aftermarket one, if you want to see boost, because the LS7, LS3, and LS2 sensors will only show a limited amount of boost as an electronic signal for the dashtronic to use.

Here is a quote from this post: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...questions.html

"The stock LS3 MAP sensor only reads up to 120 kpa, which works out to around 2.7 psi. To read boost higher than that, you need a MAP sensor designed to read boost. The ZR1 sensor is a drop-in replacement. Just need to adjust the scaling in your tune. It's very easy to do, and the ZR1 MAP is only $30-$40 from what I remember. GM part number: 12592525"

Here is another forum link that would be good reading too: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...r-for-zr1.html

And this one relates to it also: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ing-boost.html
