Default TPMS Sensor Question

I just did a search and I can't find the answer so i'm hoping someone on the forum can help me.

I'm pretty sure that I read a thread on here that said the TPMS sensors are not the same and the older model C6's, I think 2009 back won't work on the 2010 thru 2013 C6's? Does this sound right. I need to find out because i'm thinking of buying a set of wheels for my 2012 C6 that came off a 2009 Z06. I don't think the 2009 TPMS sensors will work with my 2012 DIC. Am I right or will they work OK. If the sensors won't work I need to make the seller an offer on the wheels only and not the used tires and 2009 sensors.

Thanks in advance for any help and information.

I bought aftermarket sensors that were just labeled C6 for my 2008. They worked just fine.
