Back in May, I bought a Curb Alert direct from Vehicle Positioning, LLC in Ohio. I am very comfortable with vehicles, tools and wiring and installed the unit as per instructions. To make a long story short, the unit gave me nightmares.......... it would not calibrate - no matter how many times I tried. The buzzer went off while my 2011 GS was parked in the garage with nothing in front of the sensor. I removed the entire thing and reinstalled it 4 times with no success. I took it out, packaged it up and sent it back to the Vendor ----- Vehicle Positioning, LLC. They promptly shipped me another unit and stated that the original I sent in worked fine in their shop ------ nothing wrong with it. I installed the new Curb Alert exactly as I had installed the original. It has worked flawlessly with no problems whatsoever.
Vehicle Positioning, LLC -------- a great Vendor to deal with !!!
nice to hear when vendors stand behind their products. I've had mine for about 4 months. hopefully I won't have any issues when it's time to install it. just got my gs/zo6 front spoiler back from paint so I'll be installing it in a couple of weeks.
So question... I think the sensor is held on by some double sided tap, right? I use a pressure washer to wash Lucifer (yes, that's his name.) Will the sensor tape and senor stand up to a pressure washer?
I have had mine for 18 months without problems, I stay away from spraying water directly on it though, I have mine installed in one of the openings in the splitter, perfect fit
Just got mine and installing it today. I thought about the gap in the splitter, but was not sure it would work there. Thanks for confirming it works there.
I was going to slide the bracket between the splitter and body. Is that what you did?

yes, exactly, with it there there is no adjustment necessary, just aim it straight (level) towards the center of the nose, I still get false beeps when going in & out of driveway because of angle at curb, also some speed-bumps set it off, but worth it for peace of mind when pulling into parking spot.

Could you please send a pic so I can see exactly what you did and how it looks.
Thank you.
