Why would anybody do such a thing? E85 is a left-wing wacko, tree hugger, Al Goreish farce. You think you're saving the environment and you're not. Just taking food out of the mouths of people. You get less gas mileage, therefore you have to use more of it. In the long run you end up paying more.

I'm fully aware of how e85 works and how much more it burns money isn't a issue I built a 800 hp turbo 4 cylinder on e85 .as of the rest of your statement idk who any of that is relevant to what I asked ,I am here to make more power the end

You can expect 8% more horsepower while burning about 30% more fuel. E 85 has great octane rating 100+ and has a nice cool charge going into the engine, allowing you to run harder/faster even on warm days.
I converted my Suzuki Hayabusa to run E 85 and broke the land speed record this summer at ECTA in Ohio. Check out the YouTube video where we went 187.7mph in the standing mile on a stock Hayabusa running E 85

A buddy of mine is almost done with this exact thing, he has switched his Z06 over to E85, while doing so he has had the engine built from the bottom up, also a FAST intake and fuel rails, new Injectors and everything he needs, last I heard he had it together but had to get a tune before he starts it or anything. Not sure if he ever got it completed or what the power was going to be but he was estimating around 800RWHP when he is done.

It wasn't available in this area until two years ago. Now I only see it at discount gas stations like Race Track. I don't trust the fuel that comes from these places and now I hear they are not always sticking to the 15% solution of gasoline like they should. For me it is the lack of availability if I decide to take the car on a road trip. Methanol injection seems to make more sense if you have a boosted engine, that way you don't have to worry if you can't find a gas station that has it as much.

Most in the n/a H/C/I/E group are seeing a maybe 15whp gain unless they have gone 12.5:1 or more.
