I'm not one of those purists who get their draws all bunched up whenever they see a Corvette with the slightest deviation from stock.

I can appreciate all kinds of mods if they're tastefully done.
Your C5 most certainly fits into the "tastefully done", category, and looks very good in my opinion.

However, having said that, I would caution you about going any further.

It looks great right now.
Anything more could easily be too much, and you certainly don't want that "over done" look. We've all seen too much of that.

Coming from someone that had an insane modded C5 good job making it unique and your own. I would start modding the motor more to match the exterior

Just curious, with all the money in mods, would it have been cheaper just to trade up? Or, do you just like the C5?

I think it comes down to enjoying what you have and making it different than others out there. I know I would be giving up a lot moving up to a C7 and this guy might feel same about a C6

You'd have to ask the OP, not me. I'm guessin' he really loves his C5.

I think it looks great with the body mods. I liked it better without the c7 logo and fender stripes it seems overdone.

I think you've done enough with the body at this point. Actually I think the vent on the rear/quarter panel makes the car look too bunched together or almost like it kills the flow of the scoop leading from the front quarter through the door. I think if you loose those vents it would flow perfect. Then you could put some mild side-skirts on it, but it the vents are permanent I think the side-skirts would be over-kill.

I love the C5 styling too. If I had the funds I'd buy an 01 MY again, someday I hope to own that and a few others. The ride of a C5 feels more racecar like than the C6 in my opinion. The C6 is so refined, I can imagine what the C7 is like now.

You've done a great job. I'm in the camp that feels that now is a good place to stop. You've got a really tasteful reinterpretation of the C5 that could easily have come from the factory. Congratulations!

I really like the C5. I started looking at the wide rear fender conversions everyone was doing on them and decided to go that route because of the more aggresive stance it gave the car. Saw the C6Z06 and fell in love with the few different styling cues they gave it over the base model. So decided to work it into what I was doing. I know its not for everyone but it works for me. I could have stuck an aftermarket C6 looking bumper on it but wasn't what I wanted. I wanted to keep the C5 characteristics with a touch of C6Z influence.
