Default European programming?

Hello!

I have recently become a happy owner of a US Corvette c6 -07. Is there anyone here who can explain how to do in order to reprogram the car to europe with TEC2? Is it difficult? What is needed?

Grateful for answers Tobbe Sweden

Tobie,

There is a French fellow (he called himself 'Fluffy') who had a C6 in New York when he was relocated here (US) on business and did a driving school in snow with the C6 and later re-configured his C6 for Euro compliance while in the US so he could ship it back home and drive it. I saw his conversion on Digital Corvettes and he also belonged to the C6 forum - just found a link to this forum here http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/foru....php?p=1938941

Search is your friend try 'Fluffy'

Best regards, Bill

There are significant differences between a US and a European vehicle when it comes to the law. For example, the US version doesn't have headlight washers. That lack of parts isn't going to be fixed with a Tech 2. Then, just like the differences in the US between wacko states like California and the rest of the country, there are differences between more local government authorities. I would suggest you start by contacting the local governmental authority that is going to register the car and find out what you are going to need to get their approval. Once you know what you need and what you don't it will be easier for us to advise you.

Hello again,
Thanks for all the quick responses! I'll read a bit on the link and we'll see if I can get any wiser.
Regarding everything else that must be done to get it registered is already done, it's just that with the lights left now. :-)

Sincerely Tobbe
