Goodyears = BOO!

Michelin = YAY!

Runflats = Meh

I've got Pilot Super Sports on my GS, non runflat. I carry a can of fix a flat, a 12v compressor, and a tire plug kit. Works better than a runflat will, and doesn't have the performance disadvantages of the runflat. Can't beat it, and it all fits in one of the cargo boxes in the back.

Well, I've got about 10k miles on mine and they look new. The tread gauge shows very little wear.

Our club has several people running these tires and they all seem happy, even a couple of guys who do a couple of autocrosses each summer.

Are your tires GS/Z06 sizes?

My Bridgestone run flats at 25,000 miles.

I'm now at 27,000 miles on them with equal wear across the tire, both front and rear and have 7/32"(.219") fronts and 5/32"(.156") rears.

camber at -.9 front with 0 toe and -.6 rear with 0 toe.

I purchased the Firestone Lifetime Alignment ($178) and have the car aligned after every road trip (5K to 8K miles) using my own specs. NO more than 5 degrees camber; this keeps the the tires flat on the ground instead of wearing on the inside edge. Also I don't track my car or smoke the rears.....although it may appear so judging by the wear on the rears compared to the fronts. The car is a manual and I do enjoy a spirited drive now and again.

So these settings are also good on a base model?

So these settings are also good on a base model? Do the PFDAT settings show -0.8?

I use the same settings on my C5; Michelin A/S, OEM size now with 30K+ miles and half the rubber left.

Pfadt numbers are the same as OEM GS specs; .8 camber is too much offset for the wider tires but will work somewhat on base C6 and C5. I went through two sets of tires and many discussions with the GM dealer on this topic. I finally gave up and went with my own numbers and after 55K miles between the two cars I can tell you they work!

You got my attention! I will try your settings when I replace my tires next month. Thanks.

Don't forget the other side of the equation; checking the alignment every 5 to 8K. The Firestone Lifetime Alignment is the only way to go! PM me with your email address if you would like a copy of my alignment sheet....then just take it with you and tell the people this is what you want.

No, the A/S+ are unfortunately not available in GS/Z06 sizes.
I only mentioned them in this GS thread, because CSixDude's comments in post #9 are so far different from what I've seen.
