I don't understand. Your factory CD player or USB port supports MP3 files. Being that your car is a 2013, you should have a USB connection in your center console. Please advise.
Why can't I play my new mp 3 player on my 13 Vette. My audio system will not support the device? Thanks,
I have a 13' and I have to use the Aux port in the center console for music on my android phone (use the phone's head phone port plug to car Aux) and I believe it applies to Mp3 players (should be noted in your 13' Nav Manual). USB will work with IPods, Iphones etc. You can find more info in the Electronic forum as well.
Be sure the files on your MP3 player are formatted correctly. I had an issue with downloads being stored in MP4 pformat which wasn't supported by the head unit I was dealing with at the time. Converted files to MP3 format and everything played. Granted my problem was on earlier Vette so just an idea.

Hey dpiguy -- looking forward to the Texas Bowl? Should be a good game. Both of my boys are there (they both went to UT) Unfortunately I'm an OU grad... life is not good right now!!
I plugged it in using the USB port under the arm rest and the message was 'Device Not Supported'. I tried the MP3 player in a 2014 Buick Lacrosse and it worked fine. All the songs are in mp3 format. Thanks.
I think the USB port only supports Apple devices. The AUX jack on your stereo is what you want to use. Use a 1/8" jack to 1/8" jack connector cable from the AUX input on the stereo to the headphone input on the MP3 player. You wont be able to control the device from the cars audio system but you will be able to play the music through the car's sound system.

Time will tell about the game. To the OP, the aux jack works on my '08 but I don't have an USB so I can't trouble shoot for you.

Thank you for the help! Bought overpriced 3.5 mm cable at Best B. with 2 male ends. Solved the problem. I can now enjoy nothing but classic rock while traveling in style. Paul
