Default Changing out Steering Wheel?

is it difficult to change out the steering wheel? I would like the Centennial Steering Wheel on my 13' 427 Convertible, but don't want to go through a big ordeal to change it out. Anyone else replace their wheel?

thanks

I did it myself and mine wasn't that hard to do but I tried to help a friend change his out and he ended up letting the dealer do it.

It depends on whether the steering wheel comes off easily.

I was able to jiggle/wiggle my steering wheel and it finally popped off into my lap.

On my friends car, we couldn't get his off and we had a steering wheel puller.

Their is a thread on here somewhere that explains the steps with photos.

I did it myself in my '05. If I can do it, anyone can do it.

I'm interested in doing this to my 05. I see a lot of wheels from 06, 07, 08 base and zo6. what parts do I need to perform the swap if I use one of these wheels?
thanks

If you upgrade to newer wheel, you will need clock spring and airbag.

Default My frustration

Changed to an aftermarket wheel on my 2012 GS; had a pro do it; the back housing was bonded to the frame, therefore he had to disconnect the molex connectors to thread the wires through the frame, beyond me.
The physical wheel came right off.............

I've seen it done both ways: first removing the airbag fuse, and not removing it. From one of the gurus of electronics and carefulness, Paul, "talon90", I'd take his advice and remove the fuse first so there are no unwanted explosions. Just a thought for all. As sarge on Hill Street Blues used to say, "Let's be careful out there...."
