Yup, good commercial. It's funny that people thought it was out of line. I think the people who pushed for that commercial to be banned were the same ones here on the forum that speak of all the problems 2005 models have. They were concerned that adults and children too would get killed in the 2005 death trap.

I really don't think it had anything to do with the 2005 model year, or issues with the car.
The same mentality that lost all sense of reason over the Spotted Owl, took over in this commercial.
These people believed that children would be so influenced by that commercial that they would try to drive their parents Corvette.
As usual, a small group of loud noises, forced a politically correct verdict.

I joined the 'Vette owners club in September, about 45 years after I can first remember drooling over them. Once I got my 2005 I was trolling around on
to see if I could find a brochure from that year, and sure enough was able to pick up a brand new brochure set still in shrink-wrap. Pretty classy - comes in a big folder along with a DVD with a couple of documentaries on the development of the C6.
The DVD also includes this commercial, and a bit on how it was made. When I first played the DVD and saw the commercial I did remember seeing it on TV.
According to the "making of" segment, the commercial was released during the Atlanta Olympics.

Hameister, I was being sarcastic, because of all the negativity surrounding the 2005's on this forum. I thought I'd make a funny, I wasn't serious on my explanation.
That's the commercial that got me thinking about buying my '05....especially with the Stones in the background! Nine years & 40+K miles later I'm still lovin' it.
