Inexpensive Mods to Share With You Guys
Just wanted to share what I have done with my vette in the past month and encourage fellow vette owners to do some inexpensive mods if you are bored during the winter months and want to work on your vette. I didn't want to spend a ton of money and wanted to convert back to stock easily, so I chose these methods.
I added the 3m black wrap to the halo. It costs me $30 for a 5ft x 2ft (10 Sq/ft) 3M GLOSS Black G12 Scotchprint Car Wrap Vinyl Film 1080 Series" from Amazon. It was kind of a P.I.T.A. to install this correctly. After a few hours of trial and error I got it on decent but I am still not happy with it because of some small imperfections. But then again I am a perfectionist so I am never happy with anything lol.
And just yesterday added the lemans blue wheel stripes lips to match the body color. I thought about getting it professionally painted but didn't want to spend the money. So I found a decal seller on ebay and sent him a picture of the lemans blue and asked him to match it as close as possible. He got it right on the spot! So basically you tell him your wheel size and he cuts the correct diameter and you just peel and stick! It's that easy. It came out surprisingly nice and for $7 and an hour of my time (includes clean and prep), I am extremely happy. And I can always go peel them off and go back to all black if desired.
And last but not least I added the extended ZR1 rear spoiler from C7 carbon. This one isn'[t as inexpensive as the ones above but just wanted to share. I had it laying around for a while but was on the fence of replacing it with the GM full length spoiler I already had on. Well, I am glad I did because it looks pretty mean IMO.

Looks Great! I did the halo wrap too. It was the first time I tried using that stuff and it came out pretty good but like you said has small imperfections. Getting it tucked between the rear window and the halo was a real PITA. If I ever redo it I'll take the halo off the car first.

The color matched stripe on the wheels looks great. I might just check that out myself and see if they can match the flourescent yellow I have on my calipers and emblems. Who did you go through for them(PM please).

I love the color matched items and love the look on your rims.
I did the same on my rims but decided to change it up. It was an inexpensive addition and it's the first MOD people ask about and give positive comments at the car shows I have entered.

It is the fiberglass version. The diffuser is the same. All I did was black out the reverse lights. The skirts and splitter are also from C7 carbon. They are the ZR1 version for the base C6.

Thanks for the post. Appreciate the pictures. Been looking to do the zr1 spoiler, lip and side skirts to my lemans blue black on black vette.
If you could post some more pics or point me to the right direction to look at pics of your vette some more. That would be great.
Nice vette by the way.
