Keeping miles low...why?
Enjoy your.car anyway you choose.
That said I really don't care how others enjoy their Corvette, as long as they are enjoying it. Lots of reasons miles are not racked up on some of them.......but that is good for the used market.
Kind of like the auto vs manual debate........people make a choice and defend their choice. but in the end it is all up to the individual driver.

I can go on. If this owner wanted to own a pristine Z and keep it 100% pristine, why does it bother you? Why not go to the gun thread here and get down on those guys who buy guns that they never use to the manner you think they need be used?
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

I keep the miles low because I don't drive my car a lot. I get sick of things quickly. I drive my Taurus everywhere as my DD, my corvette is a novelty item to me if I use it a lot it's not as special to me.
I'll take it out for the weekend in the summer for a couple days, then park it and wont touch it other than washing it for weeks. Low mile Corvettes are a good thing, when you sell it seldom do people want to pay top dollar for a used up car and when I go looking for one in the future miles and condition are everything to me.
Don't worry about us not using are cars up, we're doing just fine. If someone doesn't drive their vette much who gives a ****?

I guess I fit in here...

Every few months there is another thread implying that folks who don't drive their 'vettes as the OP drives his, are idiots.
I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would even have a thought as to why others drive their cars as they choose.
Some folks use their 'vettes as daily drivers to and from work and rack up 9,000 miles a year.
Some love long road trips and drive 25k a year.
Others use their 'vettes for an occasional cruise and drive 1k per year because they enjoy detailing more than driving.
My choice has me driving my 'vette about 3.5k per year because I am retired, and have several other cars.
I like to switch off, and drive different vehicles.
Why in the world would anyone care how, when, or why I drive???
If traffic sucks (and it does a lot here in the Big-A), I could care less when I am on the bus. No stress, fixed cost, way lower chance of getting in to an accident, whats not to love about my "third vehicle" that just happens to sit 50 comfortably!
My Vette, and my FJ Cruiser, and I all wait patiently for the weekend!

In fact, you have no right to own a 'vette. You've chosen a bus, so you will not put enough miles on your 'vette to justify it's cost.
I think you'll have to answer to a lot of people for your actions.
My toys i don't drive them in winter. I still keep insurance on them for comprehensive but if its snowing or too much salt/snow on the ground i won't take it out. So i estimate about 100-250 miles during a winter period for my toys.
Not to mention i have other cars i use so i can't drive them at the same time, which is another reason my toys have low miles.
I also ride motorcycles which again, in summer time, when people drive their toys (vettes) a ton, my toys still sit from time to time because it's soo much more fun riding a bike.
Not to mention that's how i grew up, i pamper my toys to where i'm very selective when driving it. If the weather is bad, even rain, i probably won't take it out. If i'm too tired after work or lazy, i won't take it out.
So for me there's too many variables for why my particular cars have low miles. I'm not the type to just drive like there's no tomorrow either. I came from modified cars ever since i got my license and things break lol. So i'm used to, the more you drive it, the higher chance of something going wrong. So i kept the mileage low.

1. I have a daily driver that's an auto - It's not a whole lot of fun sitting in stop and go traffic in the Vette.
2. When I go somewhere with the wife and kid, for obvious reasons we take her car
3. I work from home 3 out of 5 days a week.
So all those combined = very low miles per month put on the Vette. Usually in the neighborhood of a few hundred miles a month, if that.

Very well said
