I buy a car to drive it, when it wears out either I fix it or buy another one. I'm still driving my 98 Z28 with 323,000 miles om her. I had to replace a power window motor and door bezel on the Z today, it's all Fun.
If I want an investment I buy stock.
Due to the nature of my work I was only able to put about 2000 miles on my vert last year. So tonight after reading this thread I drove around the block a couple of times!! Let the good times roll !!
Winter, work and other interests are my conflicts in adding more miles every year. I'm very comfortable with putting 4-5k each year as I plan on keeping my Corvette forever.
What's low mileage use? High mileage use? I don't know.......I only use my vette on weekends/holidays/special occasions/when it's not raining or snowing/when I'm in the mood/etc. and still manage to put about 5,000 miles a year on it. (An '09 with almost 30k on it.). I like to think I take good care of it. I hand wash and wax it, and always get it fixed promptly when anything goes wrong with it. Fact is, as I see it, I am and will be its' next owner. Go figure.....
I think this is the only forum that I have ever been on where people have so much concern on the mileage of their vehicles. Do you guy's just want these cars to last forever? I'm fairly young and the Corvette has been a car I wanted for a very long time so I jump into it anytime I get a chance! I have spoken to 5-6 people and they all tell me that I'm crazy for putting the miles on the car and I should only take it out on weekends. Honestly, this is a Chevrolet. Even if it was a Ferrari wouldn't you want to drive that car constantly? 95% of my mileage is all highway but I just can't stop driving it! It's a 2010 with 47k miles and going up!

My life doesn't revolve around my Corvette. Sure, I love the car/hobby and I really enjoy the forum, but if I don't drive it, no big deal. It'll be parked there tomorrow, next week etc. if I choose to use it. I have many more things going on in my life where getting thrills driving a car isn't my number one priority. If it's a nice summer day, the first thing that pops in my head isn't, I need to take my Corvette out. I wish it was, but after work, stuff I need to do around the house, bodybuilding having to spend time with the woman if I got a minute where I can fit it in so be it. If I have the time and that's what I feel like doing I'll take it out. Doesn't mean I don't enjoy it. If I cant drive it, no biggie, I like clean it and putz around with it and that to me is just as fun.

Agree 100%
My days of having a single item control my life are long gone. I have more important priorities to focus on. Those who cannot live without their vette and must drive it everyday or the world will end, all I can say is more power to you.
I love you guys that don't drive your Vettes. My current 2012 GS was right at 2 yrs old and only had 5k miles on it when I bought it. I saved a bundle on new. I've owned it a year and just rolled over 26k.
Sitting in your garage they do improve the look of your neighborhoods though.
