Congrats on the car! While at this point I'm turning 50 I have been lucky to have fulfilled many of my dreams and desires at a fairly young age oddly owning a Corvette was never on my list frankly it was more of an impulse purchase a few months ago and I'm happy with it at this point but I haven't had much time with decent weather to enjoy it as of yet.
While achieving goals/dreams is great don't let it consume you. Try to remember family and health should always come first so if you find it some point in the near or distant future you find yourself in a position that you need to sell don't let it bring you down, you have already achieved a dream it's all good from hear!
Be safe and enjoy!!

Love it, the silver Z is a great looking car. If you haven't already check into some high performance driving classes at VIR. You'll be passing everyone at the track before you know it. Congrats and happy birthday.

Congrats ... That's a terrific-looking Vette!
I'm sincerely happy for you for getting your dream car at such a youthful age. You'll learn a lot about her here at CF.
Extra points if you know who the guy above is ...

thanks for all the kind words and welcoming to the Corvette community!
Also, I appreciate all the advice and warning about this car's power. The fastest car I had ever driven before was a 2006 Impala SS, so I definitely understand and respect what this car is and what it can do to me. I also had a 1999 miata, but I sold it shortly after buying the Vette. I mean, what's a miata when you have a Z06???
So I currently have a 2011 Silverado Z71 and a Corvette Z06.. I own nothing but V8's

Congrats young man, but as has most have said, respect the power. But I will take it a step further. These cars will get you killed, quickly. It usually happens when a guy says, watch this. My advice is, first run a YouTube search on Vette wrecks. Almost all of them happen when the guys turned off the traction control. Traction control is there for a major reason. I suggest never turning it off, there is plenty of performance and power with it on.

Don't be a fool, stay away from street racing. Enjoy your new ride.

Nothing to look forward to now...I waited 45 years or so.
I did own a few muscles cars in the day but I was to young to appreciate what I had.
The C6 fulfilled a lifelong dream, since becoming an adult, to own a cool car. It is appreciated so much more with every drive over the last 7 years.
Congrats and enjoy and motor safe, but you're too young to really appreciate what you have.
Pay a mortgage for 35 years and put two kids through college then tell me about your dream car.
Not disrespecting the OP just kind of funny hearing a youngster talk about dreaming. So much life ahead of you.
