Default Got my dream car at 23

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum, and as of November 20, 2014, owner of a 2006 Z06!

I have been a Corvette lover since I was a child. I did not pick it up from any family, as no one in my family cares for cars at all. For some reason I have just always had this crazy attraction for Vettes! In 2005, at the age of 13, I received the February issue of Motor Trend, which had a spread on the 2006 Corvette Z06. I fell in love. I knew without a doubt, I was going to own that car one day. Ten years have passed by since then and here I am, still dreaming of a Z06. As soon as I started making enough money to consider such a purchase, the search was on. I found a Silver 2006 Z06 on Hendrickcars.com. It was located in Hickory, NC. Decided to make the drive from Roxboro to go look at the thing. I was driving it home the next day. I never would have thought I would accomplish this goal so early in my life, but I am so proud to say that at 23 years old, I own my dream car!

A little bit of info on my car:
Silver 2006 Z06
Mileage when purchased, 19k.
Previously owned in Alabama, whoever had it before me had it delivered to the National Corvette Museum.
Bone stock, however I have since installed a Corsa exhaust and x-pipe.

I plan on keeping this car forever. So you will probably be seeing me around on the forums from time to time.

I live in the triangle area in NC, located very close to VIR. Looking forward to making some local Corvette friends!

Congrats and welcome to the forum! Have fun with it but BE CAREFUL! That's a lot of HP you got there and it can get away from you very easily if you get careless.

That is one nice looking car. Just know that a certain maturity level is necessary for its operation. These cars can easily cause us "older" more experienced in life kinda folks to throw caution to the wind. I can't imagine having one of these at age 23 knowing what I do now. Have fun, and respect the beast.

I had a 2002 C5 Z06 when I was 23 waaaay back in 2004 and I thought that was a lot of car for most people my age. I've got a C6 Z06 now and can't imagine someone in their early 20's owning this car. I've owned, built and driven some seriously built high hp cars over the years and C6 Z06 is definitely one to be respected even in stock form. That said congrats on the car, looks awesome

So next instead of everyone saying how old they were when they got their vette, they will be comparing ........ sizes to one up each other.
