But all hounding aside, we are here to help.
The amount of oil you need differs depending on if you have a dry sump or not.
If you have a manual coupe grand sport, you have a dry sump
If you have an auto coupe grand sport, you don’t have a dry sump
If you have a convertible grand sport (any transmission), you don’t have a dry sump
If you have a dry sump, oil capacity is 10.5
If you don’t have a dry sump, oil capacity is 6.0
Use only engine oil that meets dexos1 specification (such as Mobil 1 5w-30 full synthetic)
If you have a dry sump, use oil filter UPF-48R or equivalent
If you don’t have a dry sump, use oil filter PF48 or equivalent
Walmart really is the best place to go for oil
$24-$26 for a 5qt jug of Mobil 1 5w-30 full synthetic
$7-$8 for a 1qt bottle
If you have a dry sump, you will need to pick up 2 jugs and 1 bottle. That will give you 11qts. Use both jugs and half of the 1qt bottle. Store the other half for your next oil change.
If you don’t have a dry sump, just pick up 1 jug and 1 bottle and that gives you your 6qts.
You may not find the AC Delco filters at Walmart but you should be able to find equivalent in different brands (such as K&N PS-1017, Mobil 1 M1-113, FRAM PH10060, Purolator L12222).
I understand without the manual in hand you might not know all the specifics, but comes on...it says 5w-30 Mobil 1 right on the oil filler cap.

This information is in your owners manual, you could Google it, you could look at the filter chart in any auto parts store, Wal-Mart, it's available every where.
You say you've been researching and cannot find this information?
If that's actually true, then I think you'd be better served by having a professional change your oil. Don't trust yourself.
You got that right. Still can't be certain he has a dry sump system though. He said they guy in Auto Zone told him he needed 10.5 qts.
Maybe the guy at Auto Zone checked it out and he's correct, or maybe he assumed because it was a GS, it was dry sump?
I've seen others say the same thing when the car was in fact an automatic.
I've learned not to assume anything.
What say OP, you got a stick, or an auto?
I got a stick its a 2013 grand sport ill post pics

I also own a '13 GS stick. No girly transmission for us!
Ok, you have a dry-sump system for sure, so you will need to buy 11 qts. of Mobil One 5w-30 and a UPF-48R filter as others have stated. You do have a coupe right? Not a convertible?
When you have a chance, let's see a few snaps of your GS.
