Default A6 or M6?

I just want to see how many people prefer Automatic over Manual or Manual over Automatic and why?

Auto's are faster and manual's are more fun.

Manual's belong classical in a sports car.

Auto's in a sports car are for *****'s. Unless physically challenged or driving a MB.

It's a personal preference. I have owned both. The automatic shifts faster, are easier to manage in stop and go traffic and let's you shift with the paddels for a "similar" M6 feel.

The M6 gives you more control of the shifts, thus making you feel like you're driving a real sports car. But, in stop and go traffic, you will get tired of pushing the clutch in constantly and feathering it.

Between the two, I prefer the M6. For me, the positives outweigh the negatives. Test drive both and think about how and where you drive. Ask yourself, have you liked one over the other in the past and why.

One of my C6s was a manual, my current C6 is an automatic. Most of my driving is done in stop 'n go traffic, so I prefer the automatic, especially since it's also got the paddles.

About half of my previous cars were automatics, about half were manuals.

I have owned 01 C5 Auto , 06 coupe manual and now 09 coupe manual. Manual is the way to go. I regreted getting that c5 with auto all the time. More control, more connection to the car, less powertrain hp loss, and a lot more fun and engaging to drive

Manual for my C6 corvette or any toy/ sports car!! More fun, and control. I like down shifting around turns and using the 6 gears with more control. My work van or everyday car a auto. So you can sip your morning coffee and drive with ease. So I guess if your buying your corvette for a daily driver,I suppose the auto wouldn't be so bad? Mine is strictly a weekend toy!! Or to go blow away a Mustang cruise LOL !!! JK Rarely, OK sometimes?

I have had multiple cars in the past with manuals. Anymore, I prefer an auto. It comes down to personal preference. Its your car, get what you want.

I like an A6 mainly because I've had standard shift before and I don't want to shift it anymore.

I've had my C-6 for 3 years and never regretted a moment for having an A6. And, if I ever move to a C-7 it will definitely be an A8.

I laugh when I read the post that say "manual is what make it a sports car", or "if you are driving an automato you not really driving a sports car". Tell that to any of the professional sports car drivers, that they are *****'s for not driving a manual. My latest Corvette is an A6, because it it faster then a manual, yet I have the option to use the paddles or if the traffic is at the stop and go pace the auto works just fine.

If I could have one of each I would. The best color is the same, give me one of each. No easy choice here. I like them all and today it is A6.

Manual gives you a feeling of being in control of the car. An automatic is restrictive and paddle shifters are not instant.
