I can't for the life of me understand why any one of us are reluctant to say anything negative about a product purchased from a sponsor here at the Corvette Forum.

I have never heard of any member here getting banned by the Corvette Forum for posting something negative about a sponsor's product as long as it's a legitimate complaint.

If a sponsor is manufacturing / selling a crap product, why should we be punished for telling others?

On the other hand, seems like everyone is so happy when we start patting sponsors on the back for selling something of quality for a fair price.

I'd love to get Headers and a Tune but doesn't it void your powertrain warranty? Is it worth the risk?

So are you saying American racing headers have poor quality, and they didn't step up and therefore have poor customer service as well? Did you contact the manufacturer?

Because there are those that ban members for rediculous reasons. Trust me, I know and I'm not afraid to say it.

I am running LG Long Tube 1 3/4" Street Series headers. The quality and fitment was great. Install was WAY easier than expected. I did have a friend help me install them. He was also surprised at how easy they were to install.
We did have a few problems with exhaust leaks. We ended up getting new bolts for the clamps and that helped a bit. After driving a few sessions I will need to retorque them and that should help also.

Currently I am running the canned DiabloSport Intune tune but plan on getting my info to Diablew for one of his amazing tunes pretty soon.

Wide open throttle under a load with the exhaust open is VERY loud but sounds awesome. With just normal driving it isn't over loud but has a fun sound to it. The sound is sure there when you push the loud pedal though

Headers+NPP+Mild To Wild= Way Too Much Fun!

What I don't understand on the bad set of headers issue, is you let the shop order a set, then install them and shortly there after they began to leak, yet because the shop is 200 miles away you have really not done anything about it.

I know what American Racing long tubes cost, and I find it hard to believe that ARH are not willing to step up and correct the issue. Is it because you wish not to make 200 mile trip back to the shop that installed them?

Someone said they had problems with AR headers leaking, however, I have heard pretty good things about AR headers myself.

As for myself, I have a set of Pfadt headers, so I have no first hand info about AR headers.

That doesn't sound dumb at all. OBX is a brand of headers. They are usually cheaper headers. Some folks have good luck with them, others have bad luck.
If you search the forum you might some good/bad reviews.

I have had 2 sets of AR long tubes. One currently now on my Z06, the other on my 05 coupe. I have had 0 issues with either set. I know you can get a bad set once in a while. I'm sorry CherokeeNation, that you got a bad set. They are expensive too.

I was banned for saying a vendor sold a crappy product, long ago.

It is a lot better now. But not perfect.

OP, I have LG long tube and high flow cats. Had them put on my 06 and moved over to the 07 the day I bought it. Good product and great people.

Here is the deal: I called them last year and I was told that if I could removed them and ship them back (On My Dime) they would fix them:. #1-I'm 71 and I can not do heavy work any more.#2-The other option in to take it back to the shop that ordered them and installed them and leave it there and I will have to get a rental car and come back home for maybe a week or more?? then drive the rental car back, that will cost some good cash and my time.If they were like Borla I would get a new set shipped to me and I would not have to ship the used one's back..Just saying....What would you do??

get a rental car, but thats me. and at 67 i feel for you because i also have a bad back. but i wouldn't let my age stand in the way of getting important things done. especially after paying out that kind of money. and even if it did cost me a little more i'm the type that demands perfection when it comes to my home and vehicles. but, like i said, thats me. good luck with your problem.
