Default LS2 mileage?

Hi Guys,
I'm looking at getting an LS2 6-speed car this summer. I'm curious what real-world fuel economy (highway) others have gotten with them.

I put 70k on my 6-speed '07 Z51, locally I averaged 20 MPG, on long trips about 26 or so depending on how much fun I had

IIRC, the C6 Z51 had same tranny ratios as ZO6, so non-Z51 mileage will be a touch better. In my LS1 C5 it wasn't unheard of to get 30+ on the interstate.

I have a 2007 Base with A6.
On the highway above 70mph, I can get 30-31mpg all day long.
If I get stuck in traffic driving or below 55mph, I get 26mpg.
My speedo is exactly what both of my GPS say the speed I am going is.

This is just about the same as I get. I read about being able to get this mileage but didn't believe it until I saw it for myself. No one buys a sports car for mileage, but it's kind of nice having it.

What do you get around town and that is heavy traffic with traffic lights.

26MPG...
Land at ATL at 1630 which is the south side of Atlanta.
It is an hour and a half to go thirty miles to the north side in the heaviest traffic that you would ever see.

I have a 05 6spd manual convert with 68,000 miles, I seldom get below 19 to 20 mpg around town in normal driving. On the highway, I have gotten as high as 29. Driving through back roads and mountains, where I normally get on it pretty good I still average over 20. By the way, the silly skip shift is disabled.

If you keep your foot out of it, you can get 30 mpg on the highway.

I have a 2005 Z51, 90K miles or so. I typically get about 19-20mpg combined city/highway. Pure highway driving I can get about 24mpg. I also drive like a madman, so it could be better if you don't have a lead foot

My 2007 A-6 with longtube headers, cold air intake, dyno tune and some other mods has seen 34 MPG at 75 to 80 MPH on 100 mile plus road trips. It is amazing the fuel mileage these cars can get.

About 17 around town, but highway has always been 28-31 mpg !! The car has 128,000 miles on it and still gets great highway mileage.

05 w/Z51 M6 on 3000 mi round trip to Bloomington Gold in IL from SLC we averaged 29.6 mpg calculated from gas receipts. Can't get any better than that. Generally running 80 mph.

I get around 19 in the city but not I'm not near any big city. Mostly due to spirited driving in the 25-45 mph zones. On the highway I'll get 29-31 at 60 mph, 30-32 at 70 mph, 26-28 at 80 mph and about 25 mph when at 85-95 mph. Oh, I also get about 7 mph at the 150 mph area, when in mexico of course. I end up with an average of 23-24 mpg with all my driving styles combined. Now have over 60k miles and haven't seen much change over time, except when you get some bad gas. Now I only fill up at the stations I know use the better fuel.

I can get 30 most of the time on highway driving and I averaged 29.84mpg at 100mph from Denver to Albuquerque on the backway in the mountains. 21-24 in town depending on if I get into it and how often.

Depends on the weight of your foot and how the car is equipped. My '05 6spd with Z51 was 26-26.5 on the fwy (a/c? terrain? weather?) and I never cared but suspect 18-20 around town (the DIC avg was usually around 22).
Buy it for the fun and let the fuel mileage be a (happy) surprise. As folks say...YMVM!

Well...Denver to Albuquerque is all downhill. Even so...

Mine gets better mpgs than anything I have in the driveway. '07 base with A6 avg. 18 - 19 around town, 26 - 28 hwy. On our last 5000+ mile Route 66 journey it averaged 27.6.

Disclaimer - Not that it matters. The fun far out weighs the fuel usage.

From another post earlier this year:

Well I just completed my first road trip for Fathers Day, six days, 1951 miles to NC from WI...golfed my way down and then for four days with my son...may be my best Fathers Day ever!

These are the things that stood out:

Even with the Edelbrock SC installed this past winter and now 500/500 when I step on it:

* First tank with Ethanol all interstate 29.6 MPG
* Second tank no Ethanol all interstate 32.4 MPG
* The next two same...32+ MPG
* 13 hour drive straight home
* Borla S Type II are just enough...no drone on interstate...but it ain't no company car cruising down the road.

I literally could have driven the 900 or so miles on two tanks...ridiculous! AC was on all the time and saw no effect on the mpg.

2000 rpm @ 80 mph....sick!
