Insufficient information about your 2012 C6. What model? Different engines use a different amount of oil. Coupe, Vert, Z06, ZR1, which one?

You need to consult your owner's manual. Capacity depends on your Corvette model which you do not indicate, Base? Grand Sport? Automatic, Manual, What?
Consult your manual's maintenance schedule for the weight as well.
EDIT: Hee, looks like we were all typing, posting, at the same time.

BTW ... Some owner's manuals for the C6 Corvette may say to use 6 Qt of oil ... That will overfill it.
Use 5 1/2 Qt with an oil and filter change.

BTW ... Your not stuck by using only Mobil 1 oil ... Any good 5W-30 that's 100% synthetic would be fine, but the 2012 did come from the factory filled with Mobil 1
Up to you ... look for the approved 'dexos 2' logo on the bottle (if your concerned with that)
.

An extra half quart wont do any harm at all. I've been using a full 6 for nearly 5 years no problem.

OP , you have your answers, however, I would also suggest that you spend some time with the owner's manual.
This time you got answers from folks who know what they're talking about.
Next time, you may not be so lucky. The owner's manual is always accurate!
