I never liked the shiny, fake CF look (or whatever it is GM was trying to mimic), so I tried matte black plasti dip. Looked great initially, but didn't hold up well to any incidental rubbing or touching which is unavoidable. I ended up removing the plasti dip and used regular paint, which as long as you prep properly, looks just like the Centennial flat black console and has held up very well.
