Last year when I was in San Francisco I rented a C7 and drove the PCH from Monterey to Morro Bay. And, back. Great, great trip. I recommend the drive for anyone who visits that area. The Big Sur was fantastic.

I have experienced fallen rocks on the roadway between Morrow Bay and Monterey. Mostly just south of Big Sur.
Not fun in a lowered C6.
Otherwise beautiful drive and I have driven the Santa Cruz to San Francisco leg of HWY 1 hundreds of times. At one point I made three round trips a day in the 18 wheeler along this stretch for a few years. Maybe 3 times a week. I have hit deer and wild pigs more than once usually in the first morning run north in the dark.
