Picked it up Sat afternoon (had to dodge the thunderstorms). New shifter cable and transmission was serviced. Dave said the transmission pan was very clean..clean...no signs of clutch wear. He was unable/unwilling to find the cause of the noise . Think he was unsure about being able to fix the diff.

So I have to find someone else. PITA, but would rather him be honest than try and make a bigger problem.

Popped in the new headlight sensor Sat evening. Headlights now work properly. Easy fix.

Sounds good. I would rather have someone pass than attempt something they can't do.

Transmission Doctor is a great shop. Honest and competent service. Rare combo for transmission service around here. Most are a bunch of crooks that I would not let work on a lawnmower.

Going to be a pain to get the car to a good shop. Most are a couple hours away. Getting home is the problem. Guess I need to get a rental.

Seems like some show car folks in Kansas can't stand a dirty vette. I'm surprised he didn't have him arrested...

Dang it Monday already.......guess I better go to work...... not raining so that's a good thing..... Started cleaning the wheel barrels on the GS yesterday.......did one side then ran out of energy and just wanted to sit in the shop and look at my car........ which I did and once again came to the conclusion that the C6 Grand Sport is the best looking Corvette ever......

Have a happy meal day Hammers.......

Hey, H1...just saw where a Lamborghini Huracan set a world-record, 250 mile-per-hour half-mile run in North Carolina.
The Huracan's 5.2-liter V-10 is likely packing something close to 3,000 horsepower at the crank...

Tell us you'll be close. We got our fingers crossed.

If they let us add our MPH together we could have a chance.

if they would let you combine all the top speeds of the many assorted C6 Corvettes you could own for the price of one Lambo Huracan that may work too.......

nice cars, but way to rich for this baser's blood...............

We won't even mention how much it cost to build a 3000 hp motor and drivetrain to handle it.

I understand the drivetrain was built on the cheap and off-shift at American Axle.
Just sayin...

No car can go 250 mph in a half mile....... it is completely physically impossible..... the person inside would be dead from moving into another dimension....... now in a mile I can see that happening....... not in a half mile........ Although H600's car will start to fade out as he gets over 150 mph.......it will stay in our dimension......... I'm in the Tranquility room if anyone needs me.........
