I guess it depends on your definition of curves and corners. There are many 90 degree turns as well as many 140 degree or so turns and many more in between.
The real deal is it is a blast to drive through there. Go during the week and you don't have to contend with so much traffic and you can go at a speed in which you are comfortable. Speed limit is 30 mph. If you drive that you will still have fun.
Having never run the Dragon I probably have no right to an opinion. However I do not understand the fascination with this road. All I have seen and read on youtube and the net shows constant accidents, tractor trailers that can't make the turns, motorcycles crashing and going off the road, along with constant traffic backups and stoppages. It says it is one of the most dangerous roads in America. Why would anyone want to deal with all that? Do you even ever get out of 3rd gear? Give me some insight on this. Thx Donwil
I guess I didn't want to judge a section of road based on internet reviews. Like many things found on the 'net, there's very little discussion of the good, and LOTS of discussion of the bad.
But if you've seen it described as one of the 'most dangerous roads', then I would suspect you saw a posting made by a member of the "No Fun Cartel".
If you ride the Dragon, you have to be careful, and you have to be responsible. Of course, if you drive on some random Interstate highway, you have to be alert and careful there, too.
When we went last year, we hit it early morning (around 9AM), and had nearly no traffic coming or going.
I would encourage you to give it a try if the opportunity avails itself. Just be careful out there!

It is a butiful road the big trucks are no longer allowed on it keep your speed down to be safe and let the bikes go around you and it will be a trip you will do more and more. When I get home on my Mac I will post video it is a lot of fun. This is my sixth time love the we go

Just being a smart *** about the corners.Thought that was obvious but I guess not. It's all good.
Did 10 days there last year on the bike. There were a few stupid riders but for the most part everyone was well mannered. Yes, pull over and let the faster paced folks go around you. It's all pretty down there so take your time and enjoy...I'm sure you did! Going to take her down in the Vette the next time. Here's a few bike picks.
