Say "HI" to my buddy Dale; my wife and I did 450 miles on the parkway last fall......it was AWESOME!!!!

We had one day of "wet" out of the three we spent on the ridge, but even in the wet, the views were still great!

I would do this trip again at the drop of a hat.....perhaps this fall.

I hope you enjoy it as much as we did! We did it last year after the NCM Caravan, too!

Great pics!

I live about 30 minutes from the Dragon. Run it and Cherohala Skyway several times a year.

Having never run the Dragon I probably have no right to an opinion. However I do not understand the fascination with this road. All I have seen and read on youtube and the net shows constant accidents, tractor trailers that can't make the turns, motorcycles crashing and going off the road, along with constant traffic backups and stoppages. It says it is one of the most dangerous roads in America. Why would anyone want to deal with all that? Do you even ever get out of 3rd gear? Give me some insight on this. Thx Donwil

Donwil, Tractor trailers are no longer allowed on that road.

Because going around corners is more fun than going in a straight line.
