Default Need a place to brag!

Today a guy came up and gave me extremely dry compliment in front of his girlfriend and they both laughed and walked away... Not that I really care but it was rude, Come to find out he owns a 2015 GTR. Later on in the day one of my close friends calls me telling me that one of his friends just bought a new gtr... Hmm? So being the car enthusiast that I am I went to go see his friends new ride... Turns out it was the same guy that was being rude to me. Once again he began to deride my car and kept laughing with his girlfriend about it. I usually don't do this but i was said "if it's so funny then why don't we go see who's car is really better?" He replied "okay if you want me to embarrass you." So we went to a local highway and waited for a clearing slowed down to 35mph, both shifted down to 1st gear (his it auto my car is mn6) and he began to honk. 3rd honk Comes and boom were off! We let off and 120mph and i beat him by 1/2 car length. You would never believe how fast he rolled up the windows and took the next exit. Turns out an ls3 mn6 with bolt ons will beat a $120,000 super car.

You'll get absolutely hammered here for telling people about an exhibition of acceleration anywhere but certified race track ... but not by me!

Great job. That guy is obviously a complete tool. The outcome does not surprise me, as those cars (stock, at least) are great from a standing start, but even then... the driver has to be willing to select launch control. They are really great though, 0-60.

Glad he went home with his tail b/w his legs, and you represented the brand well.

it was an awesome feeling haha. But from a standing start he would beat me. Maybe I would eventually catch him but from a 0-60 those gtr's are no joke! Thanks you for not going crazy that I was going more than 5mph over the limit lol.

I'd be willing to bet that the guy probably had no clue how to drive the damn thing......even if it does drive for you pretty much.

If you'd beat him from a standing start, I'd say he didn't know how to use LC. If you do not use LC in those, then even 0-60 is very neutered in that car.

From a roll, AWD and 3800lbs + aerodynamics that are certainly not better than a Vette (I don't believe...maybe someone has the drag coefficient #s to prove otherwise)... it does not surprise me that you were even/slightly pulled on him. As you said... from a standing start, he's going to win every time.

I was very impressed with my car. Even though I only beat him by 1/2 a car length (3-4 feet). It was a good feeling knowing I paid $55k for my car + the bolt ons and he paid $110,000 - $120,000 for his!

Your car is running well, for sure.

What mods have you done? Have you had it to the dragstrip? Do you know how much power it makes?

Yes I have been to the strip. I ran an 11.8 off of my drag radials and an 11.6 on my drag radials. Most passes are done trapping 120-123. Unfortunately I never get good 60ft times I usually get a 1.9 - 1.8. The mods are lg headers and mid pipe, stock catback that I gutted all the packing out of an lg carbon fiber intake and a ported throttle body and a tune. I had it on the dyno last year and made 423 rwhp.

Way to go.

Now next time you see him, you can tell him his car is not only slow, it's ugly too.
