Believe it or not, you can do it w/o removing rear valence. I did mine and it was not that hard. Remember to check bulb before putting socket back into lens in case you don't have the LED bulb in correctly. If it does not light up when you put car in reverse, change LED bulb 180 degrees.

You're welcome. This forum is great for sure. You will really like them. I am amazed at how much better the LEDs look. Good luck.

How do I remove the sidemarkers without breaking something? I tried with a cloth covered screwdriver to avoid scratching the paint, but it wasn't coming out...felt like I was going to break something.

If i recall correctly you have to do it from inside the fender wells and not from outside.

take out the outer tail light and reach in and compress the two clips and the light comes out. on the front, take out the 3 push pin that hold the inner fender liner in and reach in and do the same.

I like LEDs also, I get mine from Diode Dynamics in St. Louis.

Rear take out off the outer tail light, 1 T15 screw at the top. Reach in and push tabs to pop it out. You can remove the electrical connector first, but it is a PITA to get back in without removing the housing.

Front, go in through the wheel liner, same as for fogs. There I just removed the electrical connector and swapped bulbs and re-installed electrical connector. No need to remove the housing if you are not swapping the housing.

Once the mirror is removed, it is somewhat easier to remove the incandescent bulbs. I busted one & it came out easily by grabbing the filaments, BUT I had to spend some time shaking the debris out of the mirror housing. I grabbed the other one with a little less enthusiasm & it came out.
