Reverse...Nice n Smooth!

No problem. Reverse is not a synchro'd gear, so frequently, when you select 'R' the teeth don't line up with the output shaft gear teeth. You end up with tooth-to-tooth alignment which keeps it from engaging completely. For some reason, selecting 4th does seem to align the 'R' gear teeth perfectly almost every time. I've been doing the same thing with mine since I got it and it works. The other technique is to bump the clutch in 'N' to move the gears, but that doesn't always result in proper 'R' tooth alignment.
