Default What is the purpose...

of the little plastic "spoiler" piece that runs behind the bumper infront of the wheels and goes from one side to the other? It is a 3 piece set up... What purpose does it serve?

I believe it's to keep air from going under the car and preventing "lift" at high speeds, not sure though. Lets see what others say......

I'm not sure of the exact purpose, but I would think it adds rigidity to that area. Also, it's one more place to get wax out of with a tooth pick.

Oh, I thought you were referring to the lip that extends outside of the wheel well just in front of the front tires.....not the air dams underneath the front of the car.

Force cleaner air in to the radiotor an tells me when i am about to scrape, i zipped timed mine cause the plastic screws popped out..
