Saw a 2010 Corvette for sale today. It is actually at a dealership where two of my friends work. It's a yellow base model vette, and get this, with only 3000 miles on it. One owner, just never really drove it. They were asking 38, I have them down to 34.5. The car is brand new basically.
I currently have a 2015 Mustang GT that I love, but the performance of the vette is just ridiculous. I'm having a hard time convincing myself not to pull the trigger and go with the Vette. What do you guys think?
Me? I probably have the same thoughts as the dealership. You're a tire kicker suffering from a little boredom. You worked the price down from $38 to $34.5...and then said nah.

What's the point of talking them down and them leaving when they agree to your price? I would assume this never happened. Then again, people are capable of anything.
Keep the Stang.......you will take a bath getting rid of it.......
He probably found out how upside down he is in the 'stang and that he couldn't borrow enuff to get the vette.
And, hey...who's running the bar keeping the undesirables in the back where they belong???
34467 is fair price KBB for a 2010 with 3k miles 1lt. If it was above a 1lt it is a great deal. The mileage is the key....I would pay a premium for that mileage and the knowledge of it being a garage queen. Losing the mustang blah...who cares...the coyote engine had cylinder number 8 failure, overheated, sensors didn't catch it and engine went boom. I am sure the new ones over time will also have problems and crap out....the LS3 is a solid time tested engine with no problems...another reason to buy it.
Corvette: Speed, looks, reliability, better resale > Mustang...slower, uglier, less reliable, more common, horrible resale.
Plus in the future if you want the stang back you can sell the vette for low 30s and buy the Stang used for low 20's. Buy the asset that depreciates less and then reverse after depreciation takes place in the mustang...if you want to ...
Bottom line: Go buy the Vette...

I said no because I initially could not get the financing I wanted. It ended up working out a couple days later and then I bought it. I wasn't in there wasting anyone's time out of boredom. In the end both parties ended up happy. they got a couple thousand for their vette and know that they have a happy and returning customer and I got an amazing car at a very good price with a great dealer experience.
