Default Radio clock issues

Hey all. My wife and I just purchased out 1st Vette. Its an 05 convertible and so far we love it. Have somethings I am going to do, but can someone out there help me get my clock set to normal time and not military time? Its a non-nav unit. My wife looked in the owners manual and couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance.

Setting the Time
With the ignition on and the radio off, press the H or the
M button to enter clock mode. Press and hold H until
the correct hour appears on the display. Press and
hold M until the correct minute appears on the display.
To change the time default setting from 12 hour to
24 hour, press either the H or the M button for
two seconds to enter the clock mode. Press the tune
**** to select between the 12 or 24 hour display format.
The clock mode will automatically time out with the
changed display format set as the current default setting.

Hell, my dad wishes his clock would just keep the correct time. You can set it to the right time, then get in it later on in the afternoon or a few days later and its an hour off. Its always just an hour, never any odd minutes. Sometimes it'll will go days staying correct. It's almost like it decides it wants to choose its on timezone or daylight savings time. I'll about ready to nickname the car "Christine" lol.
