C7 headlights modification
Well, got tired of waiting on the guy who's doing this for production. I bought the C7 headlights just after the C7 came out with the intent of doing this. (Even though at the time I was driving a C5!). I bought another C6 a couple months ago and came across a forum member who was posting about his C7 headlight widebody project. I was happy to see that and would have liked to buy his if it wasn't a widebody kit or even maybe if it was but it wasn't available.....
So yesterday morning me and a buddy banged this out in about 8 hours. Should have it primered tomorrow and painted by this weekend. If I like it and it comes out the way it looks like it is going to, I'll probably mold the bumper and fender and sell the conversion kit. I've seen one other guy with a blue one that I honestly thought his headlights were too high on the fender. I did some cutting on the ends of the bumper to allow these to come down nice and low near the front edge of the bumper cover. What do you guys think?

Quick video. Low resolution I guess from mobile upload.... glad I'm repainting the car after molding because the color on the hood and doors is not perfectly matched probably from age and sun.

Thanks guys. I'm really liking it. I wish there was a way to make just the panel for the headlight area to cut down on cost of production and retail price but it will mean a new bumper and fenders. Personally, for the guys like me who love the C6 but also love the new headlights it's a relatively inexpensive way to update your car to look like the new style Vette to 90%+ of the non-Vette owners out there. I picked up the headlights for a grand but I've seen them occasionally for about $650-850 a pair. To most of the Vette guys it's kinda cool too. I considered putting the C7 side markers in and changing the lower bumper to more of a C7 look but I decided against it for two reasons. One was I wanted it to look like a custom C6 and two I love my fog lights with HIDs for dark country roads at night.
Will post more pics soon. Probably primer tomorrow and then let the bumper and fenders bake in the sun for a couple days before paint.

Very dope! How did you align it, by eye balling it? How you going to wire the headlights in? I'm all sub in!
Wow, really changes the whole look of the car. I like how it introduces the edgier styling of the c7 into the smoother style of the c6. I'm sure people will hop on here saying this is blasphemy, but way to be a trailblazer! Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
