I have a 4WD truck that I drive in the winter or in the summer if it's raining. I live on a dirt road and if it's wet when I come home the car is a mess.
So I keep it spit-shined and inside if the weather is bad. That way it is easy to keep it very clean.

Those pictures make me glad I don't live in the snow belt! We get a little snow here but it's usually not a problem and goes away within a few days. I'd probably go nuts if I had that all winter long.

I have an 06 Taurus that is my DD and my winter beater. It's long gone this weekend though, picking up a newer Malibu or similar fleet car with low miles. The Ford is starting to drain me with repairs @133K on the clock. Time for something in the 40's.
My Corvette is tucked away. It's my favorite toy, I take pride in it's appearance and condition, I don't let it touch rain. The day it touches salt is the day I don't own it. I'm very choosy when it comes to that. I've seen many Vettes driven on "dry days" with pitting on the wheels, rusty bolts and parts all over the engine and underbody. No thanks. A vette is ruined if driven in the winter if you ask me, it's like buying a salvage title. Damaged goods. You cant undo winter damage.

I think you have to live in the north to really understand that.

My WEEKLY driver is a 2008 AWD Equinox with 12,000 miles on it 
We also have a 2013 Malibu with 17,000 miles on it; a mostly DD. as we're both retired.
My vette (14000 miles) is used on weekends and corvette get-a-way weekends. It goes off the insurance Dec.1st; comes back on Mar. 1st but doesn't go on the road till the sand, salt, and cinders are off of the roads. Sometimes that's April.

My daily driver is a '15 camaro. Yeah I know dumb idea for a daily in the northeast. But I'm debating on getting snow tires or getting a cheap beater as a 3rd car. I don't mind driving in bad weather. It's those mornings where its already snowing, then driving back home in the snow etc etc. Rather put that abuse to a really cheap car.
